Tour Plan
Day 1: M'Hamid - Sidi Naji
Start your tour from M'Hamid and hike with the camels and their guides through the wide beautiful palm groves nearby. The camel trekking continues towards Sidi Naji through picturesque dunes and desert plateaus. After a long day of walking, we set up camp near the dunes of Sidi Naji.
Day 2: Sidi Naji Ez-Zahar
Today the trek will take you towards Ait Outnir, far away from any street or city. After a few hours of hiking and we will see the first dunes and their unique vegetation. You can spend the night in a tent or under the stars, depending on your preference.
Day 3: Ez-Zahar
We start our walk towards the majestic sand dunes and cross a large desert plateau. A sea of sand lies in front of you and when your reach the summit of the dunes, you will have an incredible view of the whole Draa Valley. This is the Sahara like everyone always imagines and dreams about.
Day 4: Ez-Zahar - Zmila
Today we leave these impressive sand dunes and head east towards Zmila. We travel with our camels in the direction of the mountains and the stone deserts and come to the very rarely frequented borders of the Draa valley. Sometimes you meet Berber nomads with their herds in this area. Today we build a camp under a small group of sand dunes.
Day 5: Zmila - Lhdibate
Today the camel trekking goes back to the dunes of Latache. Enjoy the simplicity of nomadic life another day and take in the peace and beauty of this place. Today we spend the last night in the Sahara.
Day 6: Lhdibate - M'Hamid
Enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast the camel caravan is going to return to M'Hamid.
